Guided tour of the town hall museum
Discover ancient customs, explore the significance of the coat of arms discs and listen to the stories of old Confederates and Habsburgs who survived the Battle of Sempach.
Sempach's old town hall was built in 1475 and contained all the rooms necessary for a public building in the Middle Ages: Council chamber, archives and open arcades for the market. Today it is home to the town hall museum, which provides a fascinating insight into the centuries-old history of the town of Sempach. In 2017, it was nominated for the largest European museum award EMYA.
