LOK 7 UPHILL RIDE | FROM GOLDAU

Experience a very special trip on the Rigi: travel from Goldau to the Queen of the Mountains on the world's only mobile cogwheel steam locomotive with a vertical boiler. The historic locomotive 7 dates back to the early years of the Rigi Railway and symbolizes the pioneering era of Alpine railway history. For around two weeks each year, it is taken out of its exhibition space on Rigi Kulm and used for exclusive adventure trips. A trip on locomotive 7 is not just a train ride, but an impressive journey into the past – characterized by steam, technology, and mountain scenery.
