Magical Sunrise Experience | from Lucerne

Early in the morning, while dawn is breaking, we set off towards Sonnenberg near Lucerne. After a short ride by public bus from Lucerne train station, we walk up Sonnenberg, where a breathtaking sunrise awaits us with panoramic views over Mount Rigi. At the same time, the first rays of sunlight illuminate Mount Pilatus in beautiful colours.

Our trail leads us past traditional farms with grazing cows and into the mystical Wolf Gorge. Following the edge of the forest, we make our way back to the restaurant, where we can relax on the beautiful terrace and enjoy the surrounding landscape.

Afterwards, we continue to the upper station of the historic Sonnenberg funicular railway, which takes us back down to Kriens at 10:00 am, followed by the return journey to Lucerne. Those who wish can end the experience after approximately 2 hours and make their own way back individually.
