The specially developed trail offers families unforgettable experiences in nature and invites them to discover the beauty of the Lucerne region in a fun way.
At five puzzle stations, tasks await hikers, which can be accessed via QR codes. Each solved task results in a number that must be added up to obtain the solution number for participation in the competition at the end of the trail. The puzzles are varied and encourage not only logical thinking but also cooperation within the family.
The starting point of the trail is clearly visible by the yellow hiking signposts - near the train station. The trail always follows the official hiking trails. For a smooth start to the puzzle fun, simply follow the relevant signposts.
The Raiffeisen Sumsi Trail is more than just a hiking trail. It is an invitation to enjoy nature, spend time with the family and master challenges together. The routes have been carefully selected by the Lucerne Hiking Trails Association and offer idyllic paths and exciting discoveries. The trails also promote awareness of nature and the importance of environmental protection.
From the Seebrücke bridge, the trail leads along the Reuss to the Jesuit Church and on to the Bruchmatt - Gibraltar district. A little later, you reach the large playground in Bruchmatttobel, which holds an additional secret: the entrance to what was once the largest civil defense facility in the world.
The route continues through the Gigeliwald forest towards Obergütsch, where there is a great barbecue area in the forest. Over the ridge at Böschenhof and to Eggenhof, there are stunning views of the lake and the mountains. The playground at Hotel Sonnenberg invites you to linger and there is another barbecue and playground above the Sonnenbergbahn mountain station. Take the historic funicular railroad to Kriens and the bus back to Lucerne.
