The most popular launch sites are Staffelhöhe and the summit itself. On the rocky north-facing crags, there are excellent thermals allowing long flight times. The official landing sites are to the west of Küssnacht, in Weggis or in the Schwyz valley.

Transportation with the Rigi Railways
- Paragliders are considered carry-on luggage and are transported free of charge.
- Delta wings must be registered as cargo for a fee (more information).
If takeoff is not possible due to difficult wind and weather conditions, your ticket is valid for a free and safe return trip down to the valley.
