Arni - one of the most popular local recreation areas in the Uri holiday region offers you an impressive route with species-rich dry meadows and rare orchids below the Geissberg.

After a short climb, you reach the historic Gotthard mule track, lined with beautiful dry stone walls and stone piles over Vorder- and Hinter Ried to Meitschligen. The gently ascending mountain road leads the route to the village of Gurtnellen, where two restaurants invite you to take a break. Now it gets steeper and you ride through the fascinating landscape, covered with species-rich dry meadows and rare orchids to Heissigegg. There you will be rewarded with a great view of the upper Reusstal. The onward ride leads you over a beautiful forest road to the picturesque Arnisee, which with picnic areas, fire pits and restaurants offers the possibility for a lunch break - for a lake round you have to briefly part from your bike and take the path on foot. The descent on the somewhat steep, rough alpine path challenges brakes and suspension but will warm every biker's heart. Slightly shaken, you reach the hamlet of Intschi and now ride back on the cantonal road to Amsteg.

The route is continuously signposted with no. 407.
