A varied skating route that combines the popular Lauerzersee circuit with a visit to Brunnen on Lake Lucerne.

The idyllic Lauerzersee circuit is equally popular with joggers, walkers, and cyclists. However, it may be the most rewarding route for skaters in the region, especially if combined with a detour to Lake Lucerne. The circuit around the lake follows quiet side roads and repeatedly offers views of the fauna and flora in the lakeside nature reserves. Shortly after Steinen, there is a short climb that requires some courage and skill from the inexperienced, especially on the descent to Lauerz. Then it is easy to follow along the lakeshore, passing the two Schwanau Islands before following the Seewern river on the right at the end of the lake until it flows into the Muota. The detour to Brunnen promises relaxed cruising, with the view repeatedly falling on Schwyz's impressive landmark - the Mythen.
