The Rigi is a true knowledge park. The Glacier Trail deals, among other things, with the last Ice Age. Embark on a search for clues and discover the pristine nature.

At the beginning of the hike, get a brief overview from the information board at Seebodenalp. It provides information about the route, locations of the boards, as well as rest areas and barbecue sites. Like the other "trails" of the canton of Schwyz, the Glacier Trail is easily walkable. Sensitive habitats are deliberately protected or bypassed on a large scale. Landscape enhancement, glaciology, earth collapse, protective forest, biodiversity, spring water, and wood production are thematized and clearly explained.

Numerous avenue trees surround the beautifully laid out hiking trail, making the stay on Seebodenalp something very special.

Notes

The current operational status of the lifts and hiking trails can be found here.

So that future generations can also enjoy the Queen of the Mountains, please dispose of your waste at the Rigi Bahn stations. Thank you.
