"Short but hearty," this is how the operators describe their Husky Lodge via ferrata. It consists of 200 steps and rungs, 400 m of steel cable, and a five-meter-high iron ladder, overcoming a rock face about 100 m high, partly overhanging, in Muotathal. The technical difficulties are in the moderate range (K3-K4), but basic fitness, a head for heights, and some courage are still required for an enjoyable experience. At airy heights, the climbing log awaits your entry, and a bench invites you to linger. Climbing the via ferrata is free of charge, and the necessary equipment can be rented at the Husky Lodge opposite. Thus, the via ferrata is ideal for gaining initial experience with the adventure of via ferrata climbing.

The start of the via ferrata is just a few steps from the road leading from the village of Muotathal up into the Bisistal. First, you climb steeply onto a beautiful rock ledge and then continue in easy terrain to the key section. Beginners can easily and safely leave the rock path here.

Then it continues over a 20-meter-high, vertical rock face up to the ladder. At the top, you can take a short break at Buny's traverse with a beautiful view of the village of Muotathal and the Hochflue. Now, it goes along the steel cable over the ramp to the campsite and over another steep section from the chimney to the honeycomb nest. The next goal is the Chänzeli, which can be reached with further iron rungs. On reaching the Chänzeli, the climbing log awaits your personal entry. Now, just before the exit, enjoy the well-deserved view over the idyllic Muotathal on the bench in the fresh air. Secured to the steel cable, you climb the last meters to the exit and from there follow a hiking trail through the forest back to the Husky Lodge restaurant.
