The mountain plants are exposed to the extreme living conditions in the alpine mountain world. In higher altitudes, summer is very short and the plants have little time to bloom. On the newly created mountain flower educational trails at Gerschnialp and Trübsee, visitors learn about various types of mountain flowers and their living conditions in an easy way. Surrounded by an impressive alpine mountain and glacier world, hikers can inform themselves about the mountain flowers settled here by means of yellow panels.

You can also combine both mountain flower trails. Either walk the Obertrübsee–Untertrübsee route on foot or take the cable car “Älplerseil”. The ticket for the “Älplerseil” ride is included in the Engelberg–Trübsee return mountain railway ticket.
