Hike

The final stage leads through the urban-influenced Sihl valley to Zurich and ends at the confluence of the Sihl and Limmat in Platzspitzpark.

From Langnau am Albis, the Sihl Erlebnisweg follows the river course, which is strongly influenced by industrialization. Former spinning mills, weaving mills, and paper factories line the path, showing the importance of the Sihl as a source of energy. From the Allmend Brunau, tree-lined embankments shape the river course before the path leads past the Sihlpost and through Zurich main station. The endpoint is Platzspitzpark, where the Sihl flows into the Limmat – an urban finish to a varied multi-day hike from the Schwyz pre-Alps to the city of Zurich.
