The start is in the upper Wynental and leads on the bike path from Menziken to Beromünster on what was once the steepest adhesion route of the SBB. Past Beromünster Abbey we ride in steady ups and downs to Neudorf and cross the ridge to Sempach. Here we are offered a great view of the Central Swiss Alps. Sempach can be omitted, but a visit is worthwhile. Along Lake Sempach we ride to Sursee, the next historic place, where we can end the route for the first time. From here the route is easy, it always follows the Suhre on National Bike Route 3, the North-South Route. In Schöftland we can end the route and take the train. Or continue via Muhen, now with the Jura in view, to Gränichen, where we can again choose the train. Or end the round tour and ride up the Wynental to Menziken.

Directions
From Menziken station on the bike path to Beromünster, past the outdoor pool, through behind the airfield (observe Seetal Heart Loop 599 marking). Past Neudorf by Düderhof and through the Moretalerwald towards Sempach. Past the farms Horlache, Stockhof, and Schlachthof through the Mussiwald, after which we meet Heart Route 99 and follow it to Sursee. Through the small town, follow Route 3 North-South Route along the Suhre to Schöftland. Here the route can end. Or continue to Muhen and at Untermuhen head north towards Suhr. At Helgefeld at Pt. 400 the highway is crossed, through the neighborhoods we can end the route again at Gränichen station. Or follow Route 67 Wynental Route back to Menziken.

If you arrive completely by train, there are many possibilities to shorten the route.
