The Wägital with its picturesque landscape and the magnificent reservoir lake practically invites you to lace up your hiking boots and set off.

Discover the Wägital on a wonderful hike through the idyllic landscape. Starting in Hinterbruch, it goes practically from the shore of the Wägitalersee uphill towards Chruter. Right from the start, it goes directly uphill. After just 2 km you will already be at an altitude of 1411 m above sea level. After a short break, continue towards Zindlen. On a varied path you hike via Lauibüel up to the highest point of the route. Arriving at the Himmelchopf (1841 m above sea level), you can enjoy a drink break with a view of the beautiful nature. After a cold sip of water, the hike continues towards Zindlen. From now on, the circular route only goes downhill. Via Aberliboden you reach the reservoir. Along the lake, you return to the starting point of the hike.

Zurich to Innerthal:

On the A3 from Zurich towards Chur, take exit 41-Lachen towards Wangen/Siebnen. Then turn right towards Zeughausstrasse. Then follow the signs towards Wägital continuing to Innerthal. Stay on the Seestrasse all the way to Blattli. Upon arrival in Blattli, there is a parking lot directly by the road.

Schwyz to Innerthal:

On Route 8 towards Pfäffikon/Einsiedeln/Sattel. Drive on Route 8 to Schindellegi. There take the 2nd exit at the roundabout towards Chur/Rapperswil/Seedamm-Center. Before Pfäffikon turn right onto the A3 motorway. Take exit 41-Lachen towards Wangen/Siebnen. Then turn right towards Zeughausstrasse. Then follow signs towards Wägital continuing to Innerthal. Stay on the Seestrasse all the way to Blattli. Upon arrival in Blattli, there is a parking lot directly by the road.

Zurich to Innerthal:

Take the S2 from Zurich HB to Siebnen-Wangen and then continue by bus 523 to Innerthal Post. At the end, walk along the lake to Blattli.

Schwyz to Innerthal:

From Schwyz station take bus (no. 1) to Schwyz, Post. Change to bus (no. 7) to Biberbrugg, station. In Biberbrugg, change from bus to the S40 train. Take the train to Pfäffikon SZ. At Pfäffikon station, take the S2 to Siebnen-Wangen. Upon arrival at the station, take bus 523 to Innerthal, Post. At the end, walk along the lake to Blattli.
