Wiggen - Wachthubel - Marbach
The hike starts in Wiggen and leads you over the bridge of the Schonbach towards Schärhof and Binzberg, where you can already enjoy the magnificent view of Marbachegg and the legendary Schrattenfluh. Next, you go to the Schärlig-Bad restaurant, where you can take a short coffee break. The hiking trail continues over natural meadows with beautiful flora towards Grosshusegg and onto Balmegg, where you can also enjoy a wonderful view. Then it goes on to Grosshorben, where there is a simple refreshment option, then to the Wachthubel, the highest point of the hike. A great panoramic view over the Emmental and Entlebuch awaits you here.
Now it goes downhill via Gün - Buchschachen - Ober Buchschachen - Buchschachenegg - Buchschachen - Neuhus down to the valley station of the Marbachegg ski lifts, where the post bus takes you back to the starting point. From here you can also make a short detour to the Lourdes grotto or visit the innovative mountain cheese dairy Marbach with its fine buffalo mozzarella and board the post bus in the village.
