The winter hike starts at the power spot Heiligkreuz and first passes the ski lift and residential area before going uphill in open terrain to Reistegg. Afterwards, the path becomes a bit narrower, but the view of the pilgrimage site Heiligkreuz, the Napf and the Jura range becomes all the more impressive. Once you have crossed the ski lift, it is only a few meters to the sun-drenched mountain restaurant First, where you have earned a break. Here, the view opens up to the Entlebuch mountain world with Risete, Schimbrig, Äbnistettenfluh, Schafmatt and Schwändelifluh.
After a delicious lunch, dessert or a coffee schnapps on the cozy sun terrace, you now go down the sunny mountainside towards Kleine First. You follow the edge of the ski slope, the path of the fairy tale route Wurzilla, and finally return to the power spot Heiligkreuz and the starting point of the winter hike. A visit to the pilgrimage church is worthwhile!

Good, sturdy, water- and cold-resistant shoes as well as poles for the necessary stability in the snow are recommended.

The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch lies in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You reach Heiligkreuz via main road 10 from Hasle or Schüpfheim.

You can reach Heiligkreuz by public transport via Schüpfheim (Bern-Lucerne railway line). From Schüpfheim, take the postbus to Heiligkreuz.

- Stay on the marked routes
- Plan enough time and monitor the weather
- Behave quietly so there is even the possibility of seeing wildlife; observe the animals from a respectful distance
- Your dogs are also allowed to enjoy winter sports with us, but they must be on a leash
- Take your waste home with your beautiful memories.
