40 Ruderregatta Sarnen
On June 6/7, 2026, the largest rowing regatta celebrates its 40th anniversary in Sarnen. Exciting races, a sporty atmosphere and a cozy get-together by the lake. The Sarnen regatta cordially invites spectators of all ages to an unforgettable weekend with exciting live reports and live video broadcasts on the regatta site.
After the end of the Rotzloch Regatta in 1981, the first regatta was held on Lake Sarnen in 1983. It started with just under 700 boats. By permanently increasing the quality, the regatta developed into the largest in Switzerland and recorded a record number of around 1600 boats before the pandemic - a strong sign of the enthusiasm and cohesion within the rowing community. The regatta had to be canceled twice due to the pandemic, once due to flooding. The 40th edition is due to take place in 2026.
