The Collegium Musicum Helveticum chamber orchestra consists of music students and accomplished amateur musicians and was founded in 2022.
As the name suggests, the Collegium Musicum Helveticum also strives to perform works by Swiss composers. This year’s concert, “Graceful Classical,” will feature music by two 18th-century Swiss composers: A sinfonia by Gaspard Fritz of Geneva and an oboe trio by Joseph Stalder, a composer from Lucerne. In addition to these “Swiss Music,” the program includes a melodious and pleasing Sinfonia concertante by Carl Friedrich Abel and, as the grand finale, a lively and graceful symphony by the famous composer Joseph Haydn.
The 17 musicians of the Collegium Musicum Helveticum look forward to welcoming you to the concert!
