Pirmin Huber - Alpsession

“Alpsession” isn’t just about the word “session” in its title. For his album, double bassist and composer Pirmin Huber brought together ten musicians in ever-changing lineups. Many of the arrangements took shape only in the studio, where Huber’s compositions met the ideas of his fellow musicians. Swiss folk music, jazz, and pop are naturally part of the same musical language. On stage, this music comes to life in a compact ensemble: with melodies that tell stories and a groove that sets them in motion. Music that doesn’t need to explain its origins to break new ground.

Performing at the album release concert:
Pirmin Huber – double bass / composition
Andreas Gabriel – violin
Dominik Flückiger – Schwzerörgeli
Dominik Eberle – guitar
Fabian Eberle – drums
Lukas Gernet – piano
