The Four Seasons By Candlelight

"The Four Seasons" is probably Antonio Vivaldi's best-known work. It contains the finest details of typical natural phenomena in spring, summer, fall and winter. The gentle babbling of a stream, lightning and thunder can be heard as well as buzzing insects and rushing wind. Opulent harmonies and rhythmic elegance inspire the imagination. Surrounded by hundreds of candles and dressed in authentic baroque costumes, the London orchestra accompanies the internationally acclaimed violinist David Juritz. In the first part of the concert, selected baroque classics will enchant you. Touching arias and virtuoso string passages meet in a dance of emotions ranging from exultant joy to deep melancholy.
