Kaiserspan winery

Until the 19th century, the Kaiserspan belonged to the neighboring Heidegg Castle. The field name comes from Kaiser's Bann, a hunting ground reserved for the residents and guests of Heidegg Castle. The foundation stone for the Kaiserspan was laid on August 28, 1851 with the clear-cutting of the forest. The construction of the Kaiserspan property could thus begin. Five hectares of forest were left standing and ten hectares were converted into agricultural land with a vineyard. The Kaiserspan restaurant and vineyard were farmed until 1961. The vineyard on Sonnenhügel in Kaiserspan was replanted in 1990 after a long break. After several stages of replanting, the vineyard now covers an area of 5 hectares. The wine cellar is open all year round for wine lovers as well as for cozy group events. Not only can you taste the delicious wines, but you can also use the lovingly furnished party room, which can accommodate up to 40 people.
