Visiting the Heidegg and Kaiserspan wineries

The approximately 1 1/2 hour circular hike takes you from Gelfingen, the train station by the Heidegg winery and the Kaiserspan vineyard.

You start the hike at the train station in Gelfingen, which is easily accessible by S9. Through the neighborhood, you walk up to the Heidegg Winery. It is located below Heidegg Castle and produces basic wines as well as specialties such as barrique, sweet, and sparkling wines. The hiking trail passes by Heidegg Castle; a visit to the oldest residential building in the canton of Lucerne is recommended. Shortly afterwards, you will reach the Kaiserspan vineyard. The pretty little vineyard house is the trademark of the winery and a wonderful viewpoint. To finish, you hike back to the starting point.
