The Rickenbach Cultural Forum
With its diverse program, the Rickenbach Cultural Forum appeals to people with a wide range of interests. The exhibitions provide a platform not only for established artists but also for emerging talent. Local artists are also supported here and thus find an audience for their work. At readings, authors can present their books and spark discussions. The organizers use the Gweyhuus multipurpose room for cabaret, concerts, and theater.

Regular Events at the Rickenbach Cultural Forum
Recurring events at the Rickenbach Cultural Forum have had their own loyal fans for many years or even decades. One of these is the Rickenbach Summer Serenade, which takes place every August. Under the direction of Judith Müller, the Klangkombi string quartet presents an evening-long selection of diverse pieces. Since 2019, the “Erzähltal” in September has been an event dedicated to local cultural heritage. Legends, stories, anecdotes, and even music from Rickenbach and the surrounding communities are shared here with the region’s residents and preserved for future generations. The “Lese-Treff” is a popular event held every two months at the Gweyhuus. Anyone who enjoys browsing through books is warmly welcome to attend. Anyone who has books at home they no longer need can bring them to the regular “Bücher-Café” (Book Café) at the Pfeffikon Multipurpose Hall. Over coffee and cake, everyone is invited to browse for new reading material. Meanwhile, the little guests are kept entertained with stories. The popular Fairy Tale Morning also offers entertainment for children. Once a year, the Rickenbach Annual—which has been published since 1965—is presented at the Gweyhuus. A highlight that takes place every ten years is the so-called Rickenbach Year and Gathering.

The Rickenbach Cultural Forum in the Background
Behind the selection of the program is a group of dedicated residents who are committed to the concept of lifelong learning, offer activities for their fellow citizens, and aim to preserve and promote local culture. In doing so, they work closely with local clubs and other organizations in the region.
