Opened in 2008, the Südpol is a magnet for the young, creative scene. It puts on concerts, club nights and contemporary dance and theatre events.
As a rehearsal facility and workshop, the Südpol provides selected groups and solo artists with the opportunity to work on projects over extended periods of time. In addition to the public programme, the premises are also made available for conferences and similar events.

Bicycle:
There are bicycle parking spaces in front of and behind the building. The Südpol can be reached from Lucerne city center in around ten minutes via the open-air railway. There are also nextbike rental stations on the Buvette forecourt and in front of Musik Hug.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
Bus no. 14 runs from Lucerne railroad station in the direction of Horw Zentrum and stops directly in front of the house. The bus stop is called Südpol.
The S4 or S5 runs from Lucerne train station in the direction of Lucerne, Allmend/Messe. Then 7 minutes via Kiesweg over the meadow Laufen.
Or get off at Kriens Mattenhof station and then walk 10 minutes along the open-air track.
By car:
There are only a limited number of parking spaces available for the Südpol. These are located under the LSO building. The parking spaces on the forecourt of the Metzger Center Zentralschweiz are not available to Südpol visitors. We recommend the Nidfeld parking garage as an alternative.
Arrival by bicycle or public transport is recommended.
