- Start: Mountain station of the rotating gondola lift Sattel – Hochstuckli. Alternatively, you can drive by car to Mostelegg or Haggenegg and start from there.
- Destination: The destination is identical to the starting point.
You can comfortably reach Mostelberg by the rotating gondola lift from Sattel. Initially, the path goes slightly downhill before the long ascent begins, first gently up to Herrenboden and then steeper on natural paths and meadow trails up to Spilmettlen, the highest point of the trail loop. For those seeking something more spectacular, start with the 374m long Skywalk suspension bridge, one of Europe's longest pedestrian bridges. The onward path via Bannegg to Haggenegg offers varied, technically easy pleasure trails past the impressive mountain features Haggenspitzli and Chli Mythen. The rustic mountain restaurant Haggenegg is a good spot for refreshments, with a terrace that offers a phenomenal view over the Schwyz valley basin and Lake Lucerne.
Refreshed, you can enjoy probably the most beautiful section, which partly leads over wonderful single trails to Mostelegg – this is top-class trail running. The final loop around Engelstock follows easy paths that repeatedly pass fairy tale figures, art objects, viewpoints, and a Kneipp course. At the destination, various refreshment options await hungry and thirsty visitors.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
Technically skilled runners can extend the route with a detour up to Hochstuckli (1566m). The trails are challenging and steep, but the view is worth the effort.
