- Destination: Emmetten, Bike Arena
The start towards Seelisberg is calm and enjoyable. It passes the Kreuzkapelle with the Dance of Death panel, a true rarity and beauty. Upon reaching Brennwald, forest roads are used. After a short climb you reach the “Schützen-12er” hut, a rest spot with shelter and fire pit. Past the Oberschwand farm, after a varied ride, at the Scheidegg crossroads you will find the beautiful view of Seelisberger Seeli and the Urner mountains. There are wonderfully beautiful rock formations in a gentle forest setting. The bike tour goes exactly where the film “Die Hohle Gasse” was shot in the 1950s. The return journey is then just a formality, or rather a leisurely roll back towards the destination in Emmetten.
