Circular hike Heiligkreuz-Farnere-First
The hiking route in the well-known pilgrimage site of Heiligkreuz. Here you already enjoy a great view of the Entlebuch. The first 500 meters lead you on an asphalted road to the forest area Hundsbode, where the Heiligkreuz Protective Forest Trail also starts. You follow this until the Stolehüttli. The barbecue area and great view of the village Schüpfheim invite you to a first break.
After a short cooling at the wooden fountain you are ready to start the ascent through the forest towards Farnere. After the sweat-inducing zigzag climb through the forest, you definitely deserve the fantastic view. The section with the steepest slope is now behind you. After signing the summit book, you hike just under two kilometers through open terrain with a great panoramic view towards the mountain restaurant First. Enjoy a fine lunch or dessert on the sunny terrace and enjoy the view of the Schimbrig, the Äbnistetteflue and the Schafmatt.
From First the path leads you back to Heiligkreuz. On the way you pass the Wurzilla Fairy Tale Trail, which may require another stop for children...

It is worth planning enough time in Heiligkreuz. Church, soul bridge, health trail, power tree, Wurzilla fairy tale trail are worthwhile places and paths at the pilgrimage and power place.
