Comfortably and enjoyably, this circular route takes you with the rented electric bike from Brunnen across the fields to the main town of Schwyz and around the idyllic Lake Lauerz. The excursion is rounded off with a visit to the Forum Swiss History (a modern museum on the history of Switzerland), a picnic from the bike basket at Lake Lauerz, and a refreshing dip in the lake.

Relaxation, exercise, nature - treat yourself to a break in the Schwyz valley basin.

The starting point of the route is Brunnen. Redeem the picnic voucher at the Conditorei Schelbert in Brunnen. The route runs along the hill of Kloster Ingenbohl from the village center of Brunnen on flat terrain. After a gentle climb, you reach Wiler Schönenbuch and enjoy a beautiful view into the valley and the main town of Schwyz, your first stage destination. In the Schwyz museum 'Forum Schweizer Geschichte' you will become a witness of the oath of the three confederates on the adventure course. After a lot of history, now your head needs fresh air and your stomach calls as well. Cycle with your enjoyment basket to the shore of Lake Lauerz. There are many secluded spots around the lake; choose your favorite place. After the break, the ride around the lake continues; perhaps the next stop on the ferry crossing to the island of Schwanau beckons soon. Back to Brunnen, the route runs always along the foot of the Rigi.

The starting point in Brunnen is the Tourist Information. Nearby is the Conditorei Schelbert. We recommend filling the picnic basket before departure. You ride east of the railway line to the viaduct, follow a short section of Schwyzerstrasse towards Schwyz and then turn right after the restaurant Chlosterbächli towards Kloster Ingenbohl. At the no-entry sign, turn left, pass Holcim and take the short climb to Schönenbuch. Enjoy the quiet side road with a great view. At the end of the road, turn left towards Ibach until you reach the Muota bridge on the main road. Now pedal hard past the Mythen Center shopping center and the Victorinox knife factory to the roundabout in front of the main square of Schwyz. At the roundabout, take the second exit towards Seewen SZ (Bahnhofstrasse). Follow this road until you directly reach the museum "Forum Schweizer Geschichte." Immerse yourself in the medieval experience course.

After the museum stop, get back on the saddle with much anticipation for the picnic. Ride on Bahnhofstrasse towards Seewen and turn left at the Bundesbriefmuseum to avoid the main road. Enjoy a pleasant downhill ride between lush meadows. At the end of the road, turn right and go straight to the Schwyz-Seewen train station. After the station, take the underpass to Unterseewen and keep right at all times. At the intersection of the motorway exit, turn left towards the ice rink and Seewen lakeside bath. Now you are at Lake Lauerz and follow the road around the lake. After the round trip, ride again towards Unterseewen and keep right along the foot of the Rigi. At the Alpenrösli restaurant, it is worth taking the climb on the right, where you will have a beautiful view of Brunnen, Lake Lucerne, and the Urner mountains. At the historic wooden bridge over the Muota, continue straight, and at the Pluspunkt restaurant, go straight over the intersection as well. At the end of the road, turn right into Bahnhofstrasse and reach your starting point again after 300 m.
