Discover on the Marbach-Escholzmatt-Bumbach trail network a total of 50 km of trails in classic and skating style, and enjoy the unparalleled scenery. The starting point is right at Escholzmatt train station. The circular trail runs over flat terrain to the industrial zone and back from there. If you want to glide further through the snow, there are several options in and around Escholzmatt: the Escholzmatt-Ebnet circular trail or the Escholzmatt-Wiggen circular trail. Or you ski to Wiggen and further on to Marbach or even via Bumbach to Kemmeriboden.

Here you can get trail passes, season & weekly tickets, and trail tickets:
- ESCHOLZMATT: Tourist office, Gasthaus Krone (Sundays only)
- WIGGEN: Egghus snack bar
- MARBACH: Tourist office, base station of the sports lifts, Lötscher bakery
- SCHANGNAU: Tourist office (at the municipal administration)
- BUMBACH: Gasthof Alpenrose, Gasthof Rosegg, Hotel Kemmeriboden-Bad, base station of Bumbach ski lifts

With all passes and tickets for the cross-country trail, you can travel free of charge on the postbus route Escholzmatt-Kemmeriboden during the winter season! There are 15 postbus stops along the trail.

The UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere lies at the heart of Switzerland, centrally located between Bern and Lucerne. You can reach Escholzmatt via the main road 10 from Lucerne via Wolhusen or from Bern via the Emmental.

The short cross-country skiing route is perfect during the lunch break or for in between!
Safety guidelines
- Use only the marked trail and follow the signposts.
- Be considerate towards other trail users and the landscape.
- Carry additional sun protection. UV rays at high altitudes can be especially strong in winter, even on cloudy days.
- Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Appropriate clothing is very important.
