Along the way you will get to know numerous native tree and shrub species. From Willisau train station you first follow the signpost "Grosswangen". At the Ostergau roundabout you will already find the signage to the forest educational trail. The path continuously climbs in wide hairpin bends up to the height. There, a picnic area with table and benches invites you to linger. Afterwards the path leads downhill back to the starting point.

Where the path splits and the forest educational trail leads down to the right, it is worth following the hiking trail straight ahead for a few more meters. Shortly afterward, a beautiful panorama opens up with a view of Mount Pilatus and the surrounding hills.
