Easy yet physically demanding hike from the Kriens valley station via Schauensee Castle to Krienseregg with views of Lucerne, Lake Lucerne and the Alps.

From the valley station of the Kriens panoramic gondola, the trail climbs gently to Schauensee Castle with its 13th century round tower. It then follows the road for about 500 metres to Bruederhuse. From there, the path continues past Schwand up to 1,041 metres and on to Krienseregg (1,026 m). At the gondola mid station, a mountain restaurant and picnic spots at the edge of the moor invite you to linger. The large PILU Land playground is also located here.
