Fronalpstock panorama path

The scenic path leads almost all the way around the Fronalpstock summit. You hike a panoramic round painting of Central Switzerland, as beautiful as nature itself can create. The panoramic experience starts with the ride on the steepest funicular railway in the world to the mountain village of Stoos and continues with the comfortable chairlifts to the Fronalpstock summit.

On an almost flat path, this round route could be completed in 30 minutes. But who wants to just march through with this wonderful view? Too many snow-covered mountain peaks, romantic valleys, and blue lakes want to be seen. The power with which the majesty of the view takes hold of you must first flow a little through your body. After the feast for the eyes follows a feast for the palate at the Fronalpstock Hotel | Restaurant. The path is signposted and starts next to the mountain station of the chairlift, which later takes you back to the car-free mountain village of Stoos.

Directions & Parking facilities

By car on the A4 to the Schwyz exit, then towards Muotathal to the valley station of the large Schwyz-Stoos funicular railway or turn onto Morschacherstrasse (at Wolfsprung) and then follow the signs to Morschach and continue to the valley station of the small Morschach-Stoos aerial cableway.

Parking facilities are available at the valley stations of the Schwyz-Stoos funicular railway and the Morschach-Stoos aerial cableway.

By train to Schwyz-Seewen station, then by bus to the valley station of the Schwyz-Stoos funicular railway (line 501 Schwyz - Muotathal) or by train to SBB Brunnen station, then by bus to the valley station of the small aerial cableway Morschach-Stoos.

From the mountain stations, follow the trail signage to the Fronalpstock chairlift.
