The Leutschen landscape valley in the municipality of Freienbach provides a valuable habitat for many native animal species. It is especially popular with animals that have specialized in proximity to settlements. These animal and plant species are called cultural followers. Settlements offer animals a milder climate and optimal nesting opportunities. Cultural followers also benefit from good hiding places and an interesting food supply.

Directions
- From Wilen station near Wollerau follow the main road for 40 meters towards Freienbach. Turn right onto the walking path towards Eulenweg.
- Follow Eulenweg through the Eulen neighborhood and then turn right onto Haltenweg.
- Continue along Haltenweg to the Chrummen sports facility.
- After the Chrummen sports facility, cross the main road and follow Leutschenstrasse.
- Just before the Leutschen bus stop, turn left towards Stocker Chappeli.
- Then turn right onto Breitenstrasse and after about 50 meters turn left onto Waldisbergweg.
- Follow the directions to the site "Grill rest area Freienbach Forest".
- From there follow Frohmatt street back to Wilen to the starting point.

From Zurich:
Take exit no. 38 (Wollerau) from motorway A3. Then turn right onto Roostrasse. Follow the directions towards Wilen station near Wollerau.
From Schwyz:
From Schwyz, follow route 8 to Schindellegi. Take the third exit at the roundabout and follow Dorfstrasse for 750 meters to Wolleraustrasse, where you turn right. Stay on the main road to Wollerau. After the roundabout, turn right onto Wilenstrasse and continue to Wilen station near Wollerau.

Take the train or bus to Wilen station near Wollerau / SZ.
