It is considered a insider tip in the Luzern Lake District: the Herlisberg–Römerswil cross-country ski trail. The route leads through a nature reserve and offers a breathtaking view of the Central Swiss Alps and two lakes.

Cross-country ski trail report Bergfex

Located on the Erlosen ridge, the varied Herlisberg-Römerswil cross-country ski trail is suitable for beginners and advanced skiers. On the well-prepared route, which can be shortened several times, winter sports enthusiasts enjoy an impressive view of the Central Swiss Alps.

The course passes the Vogelmoos nature reserve, which features great biodiversity and now comprises nearly 80,000m2 of land and forest. At the height of Steinhaus, shortly before Herlisberg, the view extends to Lake Hallwil.

Those who want to take a break after the effort have the opportunity to do so at the Herlisberg restaurant. Here guests enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Baldegg, the largest privately owned lake in Switzerland (Pro Natura).
