Herzschlaufe Seetal | 599 West Branch (Official)
The western branch of the Herzschlaufe Seetal dives into little-known areas, although you are in the middle of Switzerland. You start in the wonderful town of Lenzburg with its imposing castle and soon enter long forest passages that can make you lose your sense of direction. An impressive castle surprises and greets you in the Suhrental. The route dips again and emerges in an even less known strip of Switzerland, also embellished with a castle; the Ruedertal. The route then follows magnificent heights that show hardly any settlement. Only the Lucerne village of Beromünster offers diverse liveliness, whether with the impressive collegiate church or the small old town and its culinary temptations. A final passage leads again towards Lucerne, offering repeatedly splendid views of the Pilatus and the Inner Swiss Alps.
