Discover the magnificent Ägerital area by e-bike!

You can start in Sattel at the valley station of the Stuckli Rondo revolving gondola or in Unterägeri at the seminar hotel on Lake Ägeri. The entire route is about 30 kilometers long and takes around 2 hours. The circular route can be considered of medium difficulty.

Route from Unterägeri:
From the seminar hotel on Lake Ägeri, head along Lidostrasse towards the campsite. Pass the campsite on the left side and follow the lake shore of Lake Ägeri. At the end of the lake in Morgarten, you reach the main road, turn left and just after the Morgarten restaurant turn right uphill. Follow this road to the Schornen restaurant. Once there, go left uphill towards Sattel on the main road. Pass the memorial chapel and about 200 m later turn left off the main road towards Sattel village. Once in the village, turn left and follow the road straight ahead to Rothenthurm. Then follow the bike signs for Route 9 to Ratenstrasse. Once there, follow the main road to the Raten pass. The ride then speeds downhill to Alosen, where you follow bike route 22 to Unterägeri. At the main road, turn left and follow towards Oberägeri back to the seminar hotel on Lake Ägeri.

Route from Sattel:
From the valley station in Sattel, follow the main road to the Krone guesthouse towards Rothenthurm. At the Krone guesthouse, turn left and immediately right uphill towards Sattel village. Follow the road straight to Rothenthurm. Then follow the bike signs for Route 9 to Ratenstrasse. Once there, follow the main road to the Raten pass. The ride then speeds downhill to Alosen, where you follow bike route 22 to Unterägeri. At the main road, turn left and follow until the Zumbach bakery. There, turn into Lidostrasse and follow towards the campsite. Pass the campsite on the left and follow the lake shore of Lake Ägeri. At the end of the lake in Morgarten, you reach the main road, turn left and after the Morgarten restaurant immediately turn right uphill. Follow this road to the Schornen restaurant. Once there, turn left uphill towards Sattel on the main road. Pass the memorial chapel and about 200 m later turn left off the main road towards Sattel village. Once in the village, turn right and downhill to the main road. Follow the brown signs Sattel-Hochstuckli to the valley station.

From Zurich, take the A3 motorway towards Chur, then leave the A3 at exit 35 towards Horgen, Hirzel. Then continue towards Lucerne, Hirzel until just before Shilbrugg village. There turn left into Shilbruggstrasse and continue through Neuheim, Hinterburg and Edlibach until you arrive in Unterägeri.

From Bern, take the A1/E25/E27 motorway towards Zurich, Basel, Interlaken, Biel/Bienne and follow the signs towards Zurich. At the Wiggertal junction, change to the right lane towards Gotthard, I, Lucerne, Reiden. At the Rotsee junction, change to the right lane. Follow the signs towards Zug. Then leave the motorway A4a at exit 3 towards Baar, Zug center, Ägeri and turn left towards Baar, Albis, Ägeri. Continue following the signs towards Ägeri until you arrive in Unterägeri.

From Ticino, take the A13/E43 motorway towards Lugano, Locarno and follow the signs towards San Gotthard. Then leave the A2/E35 motorway at exit 36 towards Schwyz, Altdorf Nord and turn left towards Zurich, Schwyz, Altdorf, Flüelen, Klausenpass. Then continue on the A4/E41 motorway and take exit 39 towards Schwyz, Pfäffikon, Sattel, Steinen. Turn right there and continue towards Pfäffikon, Einsiedeln, Steinen, Schwyz until Sattel. At Sattel, then follow the signs towards Morgarten, Oberägeri and Unterägeri.
