Kräuterbänkliweg

The Kräuterbänkliweg starts in the middle of the village of Hergiswil, which is also called the herb village at Napf. Walk from Kräuterbänkli to Kräuterbänkli and enjoy the beautiful view of the village of Hergiswil and the Napf area.

Take a leisurely walk to the benches named Thyme, Hyssop, St. John's wort, Marshmallow, and Rosemary. The herbs they are named after are planted and described next to each bench.

Equipment

With comfortable and good shoes, you are well equipped for the walk. Note that the hiking trail passes through a grassy section and leads downhill by a staircase. Especially with tall grass and rain-wet ground, there is a risk of slipping. In this case, you can bypass this section by continuing on the asphalt road.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

If you do not want to walk the entire route, you can walk back to the village at the Hyssop bench. At the Marshmallow bench, a table with a bench invites you to take a break. Buy a cold drink or a homemade product made from herbs or berries from the Marti family owners in the Märthüsli.
