- Good to know
Although the Lukmanier Pass lies in a rather barren mountain world, the Ticino side of the massif has a scenic character. Over the years, the mountain farmers have transformed the wild valley into a picturesque jewel that unfolds before the traveler’s eyes as they drive along the pass road.
The Lukmanier Pass is the only one of the eight Alpine passes in the Andermatt holiday region that is also kept open in winter.
The impressive pass drive starts in the monastery village of Disentis. From there, you embark on the journey along the pass road. Through a dreamlike landscape, you drive up to the pass height and then down into the south of Switzerland, Ticino, all the way to Biasca.
