This bike route leads over the Planetenweg to Kölliken-Holziken and further over the Stübisberg, followed by a brisk descent to Reitnau. From here, the route crosses the Suhren valley to the fountain near Moosleerau and up to the rural village of Kulmerau. Then it goes steeply up to the gravel pits, through the forest to the hamlet of Rehhag and into the forest to Brünnelichrüz with its great fire pit. Via a hiking trail, it goes through Steinig to the Waldertsholz farm, further along the beautiful ridge path via Pfaffenberg to Böhler Passhöhe, steeply up to Hochwacht, and via Wannenhof-Rütihof-Ufbruch down to Suhr and back to Aarau.

Choose your preferred means of transport to Aarau and then proceed directly to the Aarau old town.
Aarau has a parking guidance system. For this route, the Flösserplatz parking garage, the Kasino, Kasernen or station parking, as well as the Obere Schanz parking lot, are well located.
The Aarau old town is reachable by bike in about five minutes from the station.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
A break is recommended at Brünnelichrüz. There are also numerous places to stop for a meal; the inn Rütihof with its beautiful large terrace is always worth a recommendation.
