Their meat is exceptionally tender and always sells out quickly at the farm stand. Homemade meat specialties and other products are available in the attractive farm store.
Rita and Josef Kaufmann rely on a roughage-based diet when raising their Scottish cattle. This means the cattle eat grass and hay and receive neither additional concentrated feed nor antibiotics. As a result, they grow more slowly, but the meat is tender and has a high content of omega-3 fatty acids.
The Risi Farm also features a shop stocked with a select assortment of local products. The self-service shop is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The selection includes dried meat products and smoked sausages, various herb-infused salts, jams, syrups, and a wide variety of homemade specialties.
In addition to the “Treasure Hunt Around the Risi Hof” adventure trail, visitors can also enjoy refreshing drinks, such as the farm’s own Mr. Q Cider or a delicious farm-made ice cream, and relax on the terrace in the herb garden.
