The hiking trail begins at Ohmstalerstrasse in the center of Schötz. From there, it crosses the Wigger stream and through the forest to the Kurhaus Ohmstal restaurant. Then follow the hiking trail towards Chli Lörzigen to Hof Gallis, which also offers a nice view. From there, the path leads over a meadow along a wooded slope to Hünkihof. There, the signpost points towards Hällershof (Hellerhof). You have the choice between two paths of equal length; we chose the left path through the forest. Soon you will see the village of Gettnau.

- A visit to the Rest. Kurhaus Ohmstal is worthwhile!
- The hike can also be shortened a bit. From Hünkihof, it takes 35 minutes to the village of Zell, which is also located on the Willisau - Huttwil railway line.
From Ohmstal, there are many different hiking routes and numerous variants available, so you can also simply set off and wander. The neighboring villages, unlike Ohmstal, are all well connected by public transport.
