After a demanding ascent, Hochstuckli - the Mostelberg - is worth a short detour. The panoramic view of the Mythen and the Schwyz region is impressive. Then follows a gentle climb to Haggenegg, where the Schwyz high trail crosses the Jakobsweg.

The excursion destination Sattel-Hochstuckli offers numerous attractions. Up to Mostelberg, it is a typical mountain hiking trail, past various farms with a typical Schwyz character. At Mostelberg, there is a collection of tourist attractions, ranging from bouncy castles and a toboggan run to one of the longest suspension bridges in Europe. However, hikers are more interested here in the Engelstock experience trail. This trail offers all visitors, families and schools, groups, and clubs a unique opportunity to leisurely and pleasantly learn something about nature and the area. But don't worry – the experience trail is not a dry educational path but engages the senses with play and experience. The knowledge conveyed does not simply come from textbooks but always has a local connection. On the Engelstock experience trail, you will learn new and surprising facts at six thematic stations. Where else can you be informed about the history and management of the Schwyz forests, or about the wildlife that lives here? Where else can you playfully learn about water at a secluded stream — about the water of the earth as well as about the water in the canton of Schwyz? And isn’t it unique to observe the play of wind and clouds at a lofty height, see wind chimes, and learn more about föhn and other air phenomena with a view of the Urner Alps? At Mostelegg, this trail is left, but nature also offers plenty of variety and views on the rest of this exciting path.
