The Titlis funicular takes snowshoers from Titlis valley station to the start of the snowshoe trail in a short time. From the mountain station, follow the road for a short stretch until you reach the well-marked starting point of the Gerschnialp trail, which soon leads to the first highlight of the tour, the Gerschniwald. Deeply snow-covered firs, covered tree stumps, and the crunching of snow underfoot immerse you in a fairy-tale world. Once the forest edge near Schlegi is reached, the route continues through open terrain along Bitzistock. Soon the Untertrübsee mountain restaurant appears in the distance, marking the halfway point of the tour. At Untertrübsee restaurant, the meringue with cream is a secret tip. The route first leads over a wide meadow, offering views of the surrounding mountain world, before returning along the forest edge to the Gerschnialp mountain station. The funicular takes you back down to the valley after the tour.
Out of consideration for cross-country skiers, only the marked snowshoe trail is used and not the parallel cross-country ski track.
