  • Destination: Weglosen

Although ideally accessible by train and lift, the Hoch-Ybrig Trilogy is by far not as popular as, for example, the Stöösler Ridge Route. This may be because the difficulties (T4+) are significantly higher, but in terms of beauty and panoramic view, this route is hardly surpassable.

Although Ybrig became known primarily as a ski destination, there are also some outstanding mountain routes here. The starting point for a scenic ridge hike is Chli Stärnen, which can be conveniently reached with a chairlift. The key points at Forst and Druesberg are secured with chains. On the long descent, you pass the Druesberghütte, where you can strengthen yourself for the continuation, which leads down again via a steep section equipped with ladders and chains to Weglosen. Since several sections become slippery when wet, the route should not be attempted after rainfall.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

Although a steep descent follows afterwards that demands full attention, the Druesberghütte entices with fine food and drinks.

Safety guidelines

The path partly runs on the north side of the ridge. In spring and late autumn these sections freeze at night and may remain tricky to walk throughout the day.
