The Tälli via ferrata around the Tällistock of the Gadmerflue is a rather old via ferrata in Switzerland. The direct route up the over 600 m high and steep rock wall was established as early as 1993. Despite its age, the route does not need to hide behind the action-packed sport climbing routes of the new millennium. The spectacular climbing sections, airy traverses, steep ascents, and the short approach make the route an absolutely worthwhile climbing destination, which - centrally located - is relatively quickly accessible from all sides.

Directions
Approach:
We start our route at the Tällihütte and follow the marked path first parallel to the slope, then gently ascending, in a northeast direction to the start after less than 2 km.
Route description:
We climb the steep grassy slopes below the rock wall (partly secured). A first short traverse to the left (B) leads us to a ladder (A/B). Then follows an easily climbable ledge (B) and some short ascents (A/B) before we reach a narrow gully (A). Easily we follow the rope protections onto a ledge (A) and reach a bench where we can rest and enjoy the view. Via a ladder (A/B) we reach another long ledge (A), which in the rear part changes into an unsecured walking section. We climb beside a rock tower (A/B) to a ladder system (B/C) that leads us to a ridge. Then we cross briefly an impressive slab (A) and follow the protections over several ladders up (B/C, then A/B) to the logbook and the fee box. After another bench, five ladders (B) lead up a steep edge until we reach the exit at the “Freschkopf” in the scree field.
Descent:
We descend on a scree field following the markings, to the north side. After an hour we reach a signpost (right to Enstlensee) and keep left towards Sätteli. At Sätteli we change again to the south side of the massif and descend parallel to the slope down to the Tällihütte, our starting point.
