Widmen loop Muotathal

The snow-safe varied cross-country ski trail runs south of the valley side, winding between farms and open spaces, forest edges, and streams.

The circular route runs over an easy and flat terrain. The trail is groomed for classic skiing over 3 km and for skating over 5.5 km; 1.7 km of the total 5.5 km circular trail are illuminated in the evening. The Widmen and Raiffeisen loops, about 3 km each, are used in cooperation with the sled dog offerings of erlebniswelt muotathal GmbH and also serve as winter paths towards Bürgeli.

By car on the A4 to the Schwyz exit, then towards Muotathal.

In the village of Muotathal there are plenty of parking options.

By train to Schwyz-Seewen station, then by bus to Muotathal Post (line 501 Schwyz - Muotathal) or by train to Schwyz station, then by bus to Muotathal.
