cross country skiing

The varied and technically demanding Oberberg cross-country ski trail is snow-sure at around 1200 meters between Ibergeregg and the Handgruobi ski area. Ambitious skiers appreciate its topography and route for training.

On the Oberberg high plateau, the ski clubs of Schwyz and Ibach prepare a 5-kilometer-long cross-country ski trail. It is connected to the Swiss trail pass. The entry is at the Oberberg guesthouse. The profile of the trail is undulating and curvy, but very scenic. On the way, the Muotathal Alps with Wasserberg, Blüemberg, and Chaiserstock greet you. The trail, groomed for classic and skating, can also be used in the evening. Evening skiers switch on the lighting themselves.
