A relaxed winter hike along the southern shore of Lake Sempach with beautiful views and small natural highlights.

From Sursee railroad station, the trail follows the signposted route and first leads through the old town of Sursee before reaching the shores of Lake Sempach. In winter, the landscape takes on a tranquil hue; the lake glistens and water birds can often be spotted in the reed beds. The hiking trail is flat and easy to walk on paths and small roads, always with an unobstructed view of the lake and the surrounding hills.

After crossing Nottwil, the route continues along the water in the direction of Sempach. The hiking trail ends at Sempach railroad station.

If you prefer, you can also go directly to the small town of Sempach, where you can shop, stroll through the old town and enjoy the panorama from the shore. The Swiss Ornithological Institute is also worth a visit, especially for nature lovers!
