Thanks to the 1964 James Bond film “Goldfinger,” the Furka Pass road entered film history. The winter hiking trail runs exactly along this winding route. Where cars and motorcycles speed around the curves in summer, peaceful silence reigns in winter.
The winter hiking trail from Realp to Tiefenbach offers a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the alpine winter landscape. Curve after curve, the pass is climbed. In 1964, a scene for the James Bond film "Goldfinger" was filmed on this route. At the center, besides Oscar winner Sean Connery, was a wide sweeping curve, which is therefore also called the "James Bond Goldfinger curve." The scenes filmed here are considered classics of Bond history today.
Upon arrival in Tiefenbach, you are rewarded with breathtaking views of the peaks of the Valais and Bernese Alps, which reach up to 4000 meters high in places.
