Winterhorn

With the closure and dismantling of the Winterhorn ski area in Hospental, beautiful ski slopes have been created here that delight ski tourers. The ascent starts shortly after the village of Hospental, in the direction of the Gotthard Pass road. This is closed in winter and provides the first part of the tour. After a few bends on the snow-covered road, you climb up to the right towards the Winterhorn. The ascent is not very steep and leads over gentle slopes. The tour is perfect for beginners. The route leads past the former lift stations, over crests and up to the summit ridge. Once at the top, there are various downhill options. The descent to Realp is particularly quiet and attractive - a perfect tour for anyone traveling by public transport.
