Based on an illustrated children's book, the Zwergenweg (Dwarf Trail) invites you to visit the Sonnenberg and treat nature with respect.

The adventure featuring the sun dwarf starts at the lower terminus of the 100-plus year-old funicular railway. The bumpy 8-minute ride up the Sonnenberg is an experience in itself for adults as well as for children (up to the age of 16, who travel free when accompanied by an adult), for along the line you discover various figures in the forest that feature in the story.

On the Sonnenberg itself, the trail takes you to places featured in the book: follow the "Zwergenweg" signs via the Kreuzhöhe, past the Forsthütte down into the Wolfsschlucht, from there via Otto-Eder-Platz back to the upper terminus.

The trail is pushchair friendly apart from the access to the Wolfsschluch, due to the many steps; the passage through the gorge is ok in parts. Pushchair friendly paths are otherwise available all over the Sonnenberg.
